Essential Skills of Patient Care

Course Contents:

Learn the basic skills in emergency care. Proper and continuous care by a trained person can significantly increase a patient's chance of a successful recovery.

Academic **2 sessions of between 6 to 8 hrs Knowledge and practice on Primary Assessment, Rescue Breathing, One Rescuer Cardio-Pulminary Resuscitation (CPR), Choking Management, Controlling of Bleeding, Shock Management, the Circle of Care, Injury Assessment and others basic skills.

** Number of hours will depend on group size.

Pre-requisite:

None. As it is non-diving related, there are no pre-requisite required.

Medic First-Aid is NOT intended to teach you how to "cure" an injured person. It is intended to teach you the basic skills neccessary in giving the injured person the correct and continuous care before professional help can be rendered. This might help in increasing the patient's chances of a full recovery.
