Easiest form of Diving! Or is it?

Course Contents:

Be it a day-trip or a live-aboard, boat diving is what most of us take for granted. To develop your knowledge of dive boats, proper boat diving etiquette, basic boat diving terminology and local boat diving laws. Important boat diving skills like entries and exits, use of emergency/safety equipment and other basic boating skills.

Academic 1 session Common boat terminology, safety/emergency boating equipment, seasickness, boarding procedures. Pre-dive, Dive and Post-dive procedures.

Pool None No pool session required.

Open Sea 2 dives in 1 day Location of emergency/safety equipment. Facilities (if any) on boat. Equipment checks, boat entries and exits, stowing of equipment.

Pre-requisite:

PADI Junior Open Water Diver, PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.

What are Included in the course fee:
Materials

Boat Diver Chevron
Certification Card
Rental of

Boat
BCD and Regulator system (for local training only)
SCUBA cylinders
Weight belt with weights

What are NOT included:

Personal basic gears of Mask, Snorkel and Fins.
Wetsuit (rental availavble)

Course Fee:

S$140 Local training
S$450 2 Training dives and between 3 to 4 leisure dives on a weekend to either Pulau Aur or Pulau Tioman. (Rental of BCD and Regulator system an additional S$30).

Minimum Students Required:
No minimum numbers required to start.

Course Schedule:

Academics on any evening available. Local dives on any Sunday. Weekend to Pulau Aur or Pulau Tioman is from Friday evening to Sunday evening.

Boat diving is what we all take for granted on almost every dive. It is the most convenient way of getting to the dive sites and sometimes the only way. Having some simple boating skills and knowledge will greatly enhance the safety and enjoyment of diving off a boat.
