Diving into the Dark!

Course Contents:

A different world underwater when the sun sets above! To develop your knowledge in the planning and organising, the problems and hazards of night diving.

Academic 1 session The appeal of night diving and its activities. Nocturnal aquatic life. Night diving equipment. Planning night dives, night diving techniques and reacting to night diving situations.

Pool None No pool session required.

Open Sea **3 dives in 2 days Night diving between the hours of sunset and sunrise. Practice compass navigation at night.

** PADI Advanced Open Water Divers that did the Night dive as an elective dive need only to do 2 night dives to complete the Night Diver Specialty.

Pre-requisite:
PADI Junior Open Water Diver, PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.

What are Included in the course fee:
Materials

Night Diver Chevron
Certification Card
Rental of

Boat
BCD and Regulator system (for local training only)
SCUBA cylinders
Weight belt with weights
Light-stick

What are NOT included:

Personal basic gears of Mask, Snorkel and Fins.
Wetsuit (rental availavble)
Torches and Batteries

Course Fee:

S$280 Local training (minimum numbers for the night dive is 3 student divers)
S$480 Between 2 to 3 training dives and another 2 to 3 leisure dives on a weekend to either Pulau Aur or Pulau Tioman . (Rental of BCD and Regulator system an additional S$30).

Minimum Students Required:
For local, a minimum of Three (3) students required to start the practical dives. No Minimum required for dives done in Pulau Aur or Pulau Tioman.

Course Schedule:

Academics on any evening available. Local dives on Saturday night (depending on availability). Weekend to Pulau Aur or Pulau Tioman is from Friday evening to Sunday evening.

Diving into the dark might be a scary affair for most. However, night diving does appeal to a lot of divers as the nocturnal creatures comes out to feed. You may see different types of marine life that you don't usually see during the day.
